Slow Dissolving B-12 Lozenge. Vitamin B12 works synergistically with folic acid in many of the body's processes, playing a critical role in proper energy metabolism, immune function and nerve function. Animal protein is almost the only source in which B12 occurs naturally in foods in substantial amounts, with liver and stomach providing excellent sources. A notable exception to this is Klamath Lake Blue Green Algae which is high in Vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is required for red blood cell production. Vitamin B12 is utilised in the formation of myelin sheath, which insulates the nerve cells. Vitamin B12 is required for the synthesis of DNA and RNA, the body's genetic material. Vitamin B12 is used in conjunction with folic acid. Vitamin B12 functions as a methyl donor in the regulation of homocysteine levels. Vitamin B12 is involved in protein, fat and carbohydrate metabolism. Vitamin B12 is used in the production of energy. Stomach concentrate provides intrinsic factor which is essential for the absorption of vitamin B12.

All nutrients are tested for heavy metal toxicity and contamination by independent certified laboratories. No artificial preservatives, colourings, additives, flavourings or stabilisers are used in manufacturing. Nutri-West products are as hypoallergenic as possible. Common allergy-reactive substances such as wheat, yeast and corn are avoided.
