What is Dandruff?Dandruff
is a common scalp condition in which dead skin looking like white flakes are
shed. The most common cause of dandruff is seborrhea, which is inflammation of the oil-secreting glands. Deficiencies of B Complex vitamins, essential fatty acids and selenium
can also contribute to dandruff, as can excess sugar and refined carbohydrate
consumption. Nutrition Facts & Diet Advice for DandruffFollowing the nutrition advice below can significantly help to alleviate dandruff:  | Eat a large percentage of your diet as raw vegetables and fruit. |  | Also eat some almonds, hazelnuts, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and pumpkin seeds every day. |  | Every day have a tablespoon of linseeds with two large glasses of water, and 1-2 Brazil nuts. |  | Drink at least 1½ litres of water per day. |  | Avoid fried foods, dairy products (except sheep or goat yoghurt), sugar, white flour, and chocolate. |  | Avoid excess alcohol. |  | It may help if you add a little vinegar to the rinsing water after washing your hair. |
