About Muscle
Cramps
Most
cramps are in the legs and at night. Causes of muscle cramps include calcium and
magnesium imbalance, vitamin E deficiency, dehydration, poor circulation,
inactivity, anaemia, fibromyalgia, arteriosclerosis, hypothyroidism and
arthritis.
If
cramp occurs during the day, while you are active, or occurs after walking but
is better when you stop walking, visit the doctor to check for impaired
circulation or arteriosclerosis.
